Sambhariya khichdi
Ingredients:-
1.Half cup rice
2.Half cup arhar dal
3.One table spoon ghee
4.A pinch of cumin seeds
5.One clove
6.Half stick cinamon
7.A pinch of asafoetida
8.Apinch of turmeric powder
9.3 peeled and slit onions
10.3 peeled and slit potatoes
11.3 parwal
12.3 brinjal.
Method:-
Wash dal or rice and soak it separately for half an hour.Stuff the filling inn to the slit vegetables.Keep it aside.
Heat the ghee in pressure cooker .Add cumin seeds,cloves and cinnamon to crackle and asafoetida in it.
Add the soaked dal, half cup of water, turmeric ,salt and bring to a boil.Boil the dal about 10 minutes till it is half cooked.Add the rice and top it with up One and half cup of water.
Top it with stuffed vegetables and pressure cook for about three whistle on slow flame.Allow the steam to escape and open the cooker.
Khichdi is prepared. serve the khichdi with curd.
